Hakopike worked alongside international artists at Studio Kura in Fukuoka, Japan where they attended an art residency amongst rice fields, rode bicycles to explore the city and created large paintings which was showcased in a final group exhibition. Hakopike attended thet art residency at Studio Kura where she created a series of paintings exploring her ancestry which exhibited at the residency in a group show. The exhibition was titled “Bye Bye Bokkie”.
